Thürmers thread cutting die is used for cutting external threads in Steel or Stainless steel. The advantage of the Thürmer Square Die is that it only comes in 2 outer sizes, No. 1 and No. 3, so there are only 2 sizes of Die holders for all sizes, which makes it more simple to use compared to the round die.
