Hollow wire unalloyed steel 713R Meltolit
713R is an unbroken, rutile, flux filled, hollow wire electrode. Welds with a very stable arc which provides smooth transitions and minimum spray. Good penetration of the base material in all welding positions. The manufacturing process for unbroken hollow wire allows for extremely low levels of hydrogen, which makes the weld deposit extremely crack resistant. Smoke emissions are low and position welding can be carried out in high current areas. Excellent feed characteristics thanks to the wire’s copper-plated surface, precise diameter, and
roundness. Welding wire should protrude between 15–25 mm. The arc voltage should be approx. 10% of the current setting, which is approx. 1–3 volts less than conventional flux filled hollow wires.
