Zircon MultiScanner® HD900c quickly and easily detects the midpoint and outer edges of wooden studs, metal studs and beams through walls, ceilings and floors. The advanced ColorTrip™ display lights up green when searching for studs, blue when searching for metal and red in the AC search mode. The display flashes or lights up red to warn of live wires in the StudScan, DeepScan® and Metal Scan modes. A 4-position switch makes it easy to change function. SpotLite® marker, a clear backlit display and a beep indicate where the object is located.

StudScan mode detects the outer edges of wooden and metal studs up to a search depth of 19 mm. DeepScan® mode doubles the search depth up to 38 mm . Wirewarning® detection indicates the presence of live AC wires up to 51 mm deep in metal and stud search mode. Metal Scan mode locates non-magnetic metal such as copper pipe up to a depth of 38 mm and magnetic metal such as rebar up to a depth of 76 mm. AC Scan mode locates live unshielded AC wires up to 51 mm deep ACT™ (Automatic Correction Technology), and automatically corrects common errors, for example if the search begins over a stud. ColorTrip™ display with Target Spotlight, indicates the direction and outer edge of the stud and lights up when the midpoint of the stud has been detected.

Powered by a 9 V battery (not included). Low battery warning. The stated values are standard values for detection through plasterboard or the like.

Also works on glazed tiles wooden boards but depending on the density the detection depth can be reduced.
