Fluke 1587 FC insulation multimeter Two powerful tools in one. Combines a digital insulation tester with a fully-fledged digital multimeter for measuring true RMS in a single compact hand-held unit, so that maximum versatility for both trouble-shooting and preventive maintenance is obtained. Can be used a s a standalone meter or as part of a system.
Insulation test functions: 1587 is an easy to use, with a simple interface and can be used for the measurement of insulation resistance up to 2 G Ω, with five output voltages from 50 V to 1000 V.
Possibility to test resistance up to 600 M Ω with either 500 or 1000 V. With the help of a new remote test probe measurements can be started via a button on the probe handle. Insulation testing is cancelled if the instrument is connected to a live circuit of more than 30 volt. After testing an automatic discharge of the capacitive voltages occurs on the equipment to be tested to avoid electric shocks.
In addition, the advanced circuits in model 1587 FC permit accurate measurement of the voltage and frequency on motor controllers with variable frequency via a low pass filter. The meters are supplied complete with test leads, crocodile clips, a thermal element of the K-type and a remote test probe, in a robust, hard bag. They are powered by four AA-batteries that last for approx. 1000 insulation tests. The instrument's yellow protective case together with Fluke TPAK™ (magnetic suspension system) allows you to have both hands free.
