Handy and reliable instrument for non-destructive control of moisture quotient in and under materials. Pre-programmed with material settings for a total of 16 and 69 different groups of wood and building materials and a full 230 woods are classified. The instrument measures by means of a dielectric field through the material to a max. depth of 50 mm (MC-160SA), respective 10 or 100 mm (MC-380XCA). Rapid changes in the measuring valve make it easy to localise moisture damage.

MC-160SA. For wood and building materials. Measures moisture quotient and also indicates values in relative air humidity, RF in % (concrete) without drill hole measurements. The instrument can save measurement values and present an average value for moisture quotient. Measuring depth about 50 mm.

MC-380XCA. Versatile moisture meter that allows scanning measurements at two different measurement depths, 10 mm and 100 mm, as it is equipped with dual measurement sensors. The shallow measurement depth, 10 mm, is perfect e.g., for the inspection of wood and laminated flooring, by avoiding the material under the floor affecting the read moisture value.

The larger measurement depth of 100 mm is ideal, e.g. for concrete structures that require a large measuring depth. MC 380XCA measures the moisture content, but is also equipped with a unique conversion function that provides you directly with a reading for the relative humidity in concrete (RH%.).

This means that you get a quick indication of the concretes moisture without carrying out a so-called drill hole measurement. The instrument is ideal for checking for moisture damage in sandwich constructions due to the large measurement depth. MC 380XCA features a selector for 50 different wood groups and 19 different building materials.

Contact springs are soft to provide good contact also against uneven materials and are stainless and surface treated.

Both MC-160SA and MC-380XCA have a hold function and an adjustable buzzer for moisture checks where it is difficult to read.
